Real-Debrid "hoster unavailable" on a Keep2Share link — what each error means and the fix

Why Real-Debrid returns hoster temporarily unavailable, hoster limit reached, file unavailable or infringing file (error 35) on Keep2Share links, what each code means, and a pay-as-you-go fallback.

You paste a k2s.cc link into Real-Debrid and get a short error instead of a download: hoster temporarily unavailable, hoster limit reached, file unavailable, or — since spring 2026 — infringing file. Each of these means something different, and only one of them means the file is actually gone. This page decodes the codes Real-Debrid publishes, gives a quick diagnostic sequence, and explains where DebridMaster fits as a fallback for Keep2Share.

Real-Debrid does list Keep2Share: keep2share.cc (id k2s) is in its public host list as of 28 Sep 2026, alongside FileBoom and TezFiles. So the error is not “unsupported hoster” — it is a refusal on a hoster that is normally supported.

What the error codes mean

Real-Debrid’s API documentation publishes numeric error codes. The ones you see on Keep2Share links, with their documented names:

Code Documented name What it tells you
16 Unsupported hoster The domain is not in Real-Debrid’s list. Rare for k2s; check you pasted a keep2share.cc / k2s.cc link, not a redirect.
17 Hoster in maintenance Real-Debrid has switched the hoster off on its side, usually briefly.
18 Hoster limit reached Real-Debrid’s own daily allowance for that hoster is used up — a limit on Real-Debrid’s account with Keep2Share, not on your file.
19 Hoster temporarily unavailable Real-Debrid’s route to Keep2Share is failing right now.
20 Hoster not available for free users Premium-only hoster; a free Real-Debrid account cannot use it.
24 File unavailable Real-Debrid could not get the file. Often the file is dead on Keep2Share; sometimes the hoster refused.
35 Infringing file Real-Debrid’s filter blocked the file. The message shown in apps is “File was removed from debrid service due to copyright infringement”.

Codes 17, 18 and 19 are about Real-Debrid’s relationship with Keep2Share at that moment. Code 24 may be about the file. Code 35 is about Real-Debrid’s filter, not about whether the file exists.

A five-minute diagnostic

  1. Open the link on Keep2Share itself. If k2s.cc says the file was deleted or not found, stop — no debrid service can fetch a file the host no longer has. Real-Debrid’s code 24 was correct.
  2. Check Real-Debrid’s hoster status. Real-Debrid exposes per-hoster live status to signed-in users (the /hosts/status endpoint needs an account token, which is why we cannot verify it publicly). If Keep2Share is marked down or limited there, codes 17–19 are expected and will clear on their own. Retrying in a loop does not help and can get an account rate-limited.
  3. Check the domain. k2s.cc, keep2share.cc and k2s.com all resolve to Keep2Share on DebridMaster; on Real-Debrid the listed domains include keep2share.cc, k2s.cc, keep2s.cc and k2share.cc. A link through a shortener or an intermediate page may not be recognised.
  4. Read the code, not the app’s paraphrase. Third-party tools sometimes collapse everything into “hoster unavailable” or “503”. If you can see the raw API response, use the table above.
  5. If it is code 18 or 19 and the file is live, use another route. That is where a pay-as-you-go service is useful: you are not paying a second subscription for a hoster your first one is having a bad day with.

Why “hoster limit reached” is a Real-Debrid-side limit

Debrid services hold their own premium accounts on each hoster and share them across all their users. Keep2Share, like most hosts, imposes daily traffic limits on those accounts. When the shared allowance runs out, every Real-Debrid user gets code 18 until it resets, regardless of how little you personally downloaded. This is the structural reason why some services cap Keep2Share per user, mark it “experimental”, or do not offer it at all — see which debrid supports Keep2Share for the current list.

About “infringing file” (code 35)

From May 2026 Real-Debrid began returning code 35 more widely; users reported it on both cached torrents and hoster links whose filenames matched a keyword filter. Third-party write-ups (linked in the sources) describe it as an automated filename-based check rather than a per-file takedown. Two practical consequences:

  • The file may still exist on Keep2Share; the block is at Real-Debrid.
  • No workaround inside Real-Debrid is documented. If you have a lawful right to the file, fetching it through a different service or directly from the host is the remaining option.

DebridMaster honours valid copyright notices too, so a file that has been taken down at the host or by notice is not available anywhere. But we do not block on filename patterns, and every fetch is verified before you are charged. More on the broader message in file was removed from debrid service.

Using DebridMaster as the Keep2Share fallback

Keep2Share on DebridMaster is a standard host served through our own premium account with partner backends behind it:

  • Pay-as-you-go, $0.50 per GB, billed to the byte, credits never expire, top up from $2. A 2 GB file is $1.00. There is nothing to subscribe to or cancel, so keeping it as a spare route costs nothing between uses.
  • Verify then charge. The file is fetched to our server and checked before any deduction. If Keep2Share really has removed it, you pay $0 — the same outcome as Real-Debrid’s code 24, only with the answer proven rather than assumed.
  • Published cap and live status. 50 GB per user per day on Keep2Share, with availability and the 7-day success rate on the status page and the Keep2Share page. If our route is degraded you see it before pasting.
  • Free tier for a test. 2 files a day up to 512 MB each on Keep2Share and other standard hosts — enough to confirm the service works before spending anything.

FAQ

Is Real-Debrid dropping Keep2Share? Not as far as its public host list shows; keep2share.cc is listed as of the date at the top of this page. Errors 17–19 are temporary states, not removal.

Does retrying fix “hoster temporarily unavailable”? Sometimes, after a wait. Retrying immediately and repeatedly does not, and can trigger rate limits.

Can DebridMaster fetch a file Real-Debrid marked “infringing”? Only if the file is still live on Keep2Share and not subject to a valid notice. We verify the file exists before charging; if it is gone, the attempt is free.

Does the same apply to FileBoom and TezFiles? Yes. They share Keep2Share’s operator and tend to show the same codes at the same time. DebridMaster serves FileBoom as a standard host as well — see download from FileBoom.
