DebridMaster has two ways to pay for downloads: pay-as-you-go credits at $0.50 per GB, and two monthly plans — Pro at $4.99 for 15 GB and Premium at $9.99 for 40 GB. Which is cheaper depends almost entirely on how many GB you download in a month. This guide runs the numbers so you can pick without guessing.
Both options are paid from the same prepaid wallet: top up once, then either spend credits per GB or buy a monthly plan from the balance. Plans renew from the wallet each month; cancel any time and the plan keeps running until its end date. Upgrading mid-month credits the unused part of the current plan.
The three options at a glance
| Feature | Pay-as-you-go | Pro | Premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $0.50 per GB | $4.99 per month | $9.99 per month |
| Included | — | 15 GB | 40 GB |
| Effective rate if fully used | $0.50/GB | $0.333/GB | $0.250/GB |
| Rollover of unused quota | credits never expire | up to 5 GB | up to 10 GB |
| Overage past quota | — | $0.40/GB | $0.30/GB |
| Plus hosts (FileJoker, FilesMonster, Upstore) | ×3 | ×3 | ×3 |
| Dead or failed file | $0 | 0 GB used | 0 GB used |
All three charge only after a file has been downloaded to our server and verified, and all three bill to the byte.
Break-even: pay-as-you-go vs Pro
Pro costs $4.99. At $0.50 per GB, that buys 9.98 GB of pay-as-you-go downloads. So:
- Under 10 GB a month: pay-as-you-go is cheaper. 4 GB costs $2.00; 8 GB costs $4.00.
- Around 10 GB a month: it is a wash.
- 10–15 GB a month: Pro wins. 15 GB is $7.50 on pay-as-you-go versus $4.99 on Pro.
The break-even shifts a little if you top up in larger amounts, because of the bonus credit:
| Top-up | Bonus | Credit | Standard GB | Effective rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $2 | — | $2.00 | 4 GB | $0.500/GB |
| $10 | +10 % | $11.00 | 22 GB | $0.455/GB |
| $20 | +15 % | $23.00 | 46 GB | $0.435/GB |
| $50 | +20 % | $60.00 | 120 GB | $0.417/GB |
Even at the best bonus rate of $0.417 per GB, $4.99 of credit buys about 12 GB. So the honest rule of thumb is: if you regularly download more than 10–12 GB a month, a plan is cheaper. If you download less, or only a few months a year, credits win — and they never expire, so a $10 top-up in January is still there in December.
Break-even: Pro vs Premium
Premium costs $5.00 more than Pro and includes 25 GB more. Pro’s overage is $0.40 per GB, so the question is where Pro plus overage crosses $9.99:
$4.99 + (GB − 15) × $0.40 = $9.99 → GB = 27.5 GB
- Up to about 27 GB a month: Pro (with some overage) is cheaper or equal.
- Above 27.5 GB: Premium is cheaper. At 40 GB, Pro costs $4.99 + 25 × $0.40 = $14.99; Premium costs $9.99. At 60 GB, Pro would be $22.99 against Premium’s $9.99 + 20 × $0.30 = $15.99.
Premium also carries a bigger rollover (10 GB versus 5 GB), which helps if your usage is spiky — a quiet month banks quota for a busy one.
Worked examples
Occasional user — 3 GB in a typical month, a 15 GB month twice a year. Pay-as-you-go: ten quiet months at $1.50 plus two busy months at $7.50 = $30 a year. Pro for twelve months would be $59.88, and most of its quota would go unused (rollover caps at 5 GB). Credits win, and a single $20 top-up (+15 %, $23 of credit) covers most of the year.
Regular user — 20 GB every month, all standard hosts. Pay-as-you-go is $10.00 a month (about $8.35 at the best bonus rate). Pro is $4.99 + 5 × $0.40 = $6.99. Premium is $9.99 with 20 GB unused, of which 10 GB rolls over. Pro wins, by about $1.35 to $3 a month.
Heavy user — 60 GB a month. Pay-as-you-go: $30.00 (about $25 at the best bonus rate). Pro: $4.99 + 45 × $0.40 = $22.99. Premium: $9.99 + 20 × $0.30 = $15.99. Premium wins.
Plus-host user — 4 GB a month from FileJoker. Plus hosts count ×3, so this is 12 counted GB. Pay-as-you-go: 12 × $0.50 = $6.00. Pro: $4.99 with 3 counted GB left. Even a modest Plus-host habit tips the balance toward a plan, because the multiplier applies to counted GB. Read more in Understanding Plus hosts.
Things the price tables don’t show
- Free tier first. Every account gets 2 free files a day, up to 512 MB each. If that covers you, you do not need either option.
- Rollover is capped. Unused Pro quota carries over only up to 5 GB, Premium up to 10 GB. A plan you barely use still costs its monthly price.
- Overage is optional exposure. On a plan, going past the quota is billed per counted GB at the plan’s overage rate, which is lower than pay-as-you-go ($0.40 or $0.30 versus $0.50).
- Plans renew from your wallet. Keep enough balance for the renewal, or cancel and the plan simply runs to its end date. If you are already on a plan, it keeps the quota it started with until it renews.
The decision in one line
Under ~10 GB a month or irregular use: pay-as-you-go, top up $10–$20 at a time for the bonus. 10–27 GB a month: Pro. Above ~27 GB, or lots of Plus-host traffic: Premium.
